How Our Calculators Work
Each tool uses a visible formula, accepts the product-specific coverage or packaging size where relevant, and rounds complete packages upward. Measurements should be checked on site. Default values are examples, not universal recommendations. We review the units, edge cases, and limitations before publication. First measure the project and subtract areas that do not receive the material when the tool calls for it. Then use the coverage or density on the actual product label or from the supplier. Add a cut or waste allowance appropriate to the layout and convert the result to full cartons, boards or bags only at the end. Calculator outputs are planning estimates, not specifications for a structural project. For irregular shapes, split the project into simple sections and add their quantities. When a result seems wrong, recheck units, decimal input and the manufacturer value.
